A more recent purchase, this Le Cheminant gold plated Master Mariner Camy 77 is exactly the same watch as the normal Camy 77, except it has the Le Cheminant logo. The watch is 35mm in diameter with a 30mm dial and measures 44mm lug to lug. Below you will see pictures of the movement showing where the extra jewels have been positioned. These extra jewels serve no other purpose than to adorn the movement, a sales ploy used in the 70s, the theory being the more jewels the better the watch.
This section of the Camy 77 jewelled movement has a gear with 8 jewels showing and another 5 or so hidden, 13 or 14 in total on one gear wheel. Should state on the dial, extra jewels for decoration only.
