Frequently asked questions

Q) What happens if the entertainment is ill and cannot attend our function?
A) We have a wide range of suitably professional contacts ready to step in at a moments notice in case of any emergency.

Q) My venue requires Public Liability Insurance and that all equipment is fully PAT tested?
A) This is very common, all equipment is PAT tested and we carry full £2,000,000 public liability insurance, ceriticates are carried at all appearances and we are perfectly willing to show you if you want to see. Some venues insist on seeing such certifictes and DJ's have been refused admission to venues before when they have been unable to produce these documents. Don't let this happen to the DJ at your party.

Q) What happens if your transport breaks down on the way to our function?
A) We use modern vehicles that are all serviced on a regular basis and we have full RAC cover just in case.

Q) We have received a cheaper quote from the yellow pages?
A) Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. We have always offered high quality entertainment at affordable prices! We always say "If you pay peanuts you will get monkeys!!!"

Q) Do you use strobe lighting as our friend suffers from epilepsy?
A) Unless requested in advance, we never use any form of strobe lighting. If any of our lighting effects cause a problem on the evening, please let us know and we will get it put right straight away.

Q) We don't wont you turning up in jeans and a tee shirt.
A) We will set up our equipment in casual clothing. But then all our artists will perform in smart casual attire, full black tie dress code is also available when required

Q) Will the DJ be able to get everyone up and dancing including the younger and older guests
A) We always play a great mixture of music to keep the dance floor busy all night and we guarantee to play something to suit all age ranges and tastes. But remember, not everyone wants to dance! Thats not to say they're not having a good time!

Q) Do you accept play lists as we have some favourite songs we would like the DJ to play at our party?
A) Not only do we accept play lists but we offer a unique guarantee to play all the songs on your play list ensuring you of the best possible event.

Q) How can we be sure you will remember all we have asked for on the phone?
A) We will put everything to you in writing using our booking confirmation form. This is your guarantee.

Q) Has the DJ played at many events before as we want someone with a lot of experience?
A) We have 1000s of successful past events, many of which have been weddings and all our DJ's have vast experience of performing at all types of functions.

Q) My mum is worried that the music is going to be too loud !
A) This is a very valid point: and we are very sensitive to making sure the music volume is set at the correct level for everyone to enjoy the event, and we can always adjust the volume during the event if required. We do understand that volume controls go down as well as up!!

Q) Can you set the entertainment up prior to our arrival at the venue?
A) We can arrange to set up equipment at any time that is most suited to your event and this can include setting up during the morning or before the meal, please discuss this when making your booking where we will be very happy to help

Q) Can we come and see you perform before we book?
A) We would be happy to arrange this and can give you a list of suitable functions to visit upon request however there are times when this will not always be possible.

Q) Our venue has a smoke detector system and a noise limiter fitted, how will this affect you?
A) We can work in any venue that have a smoke detector system or a noise limiter fitted it just means that we will not use a smoke machine and the volume will be adjusted to be within the agreed limit of the venue, this is quite common and will not cause any noticeable quality reduction of our show. Please note if you have booked live entertainment, some bands might have a problem with a noise limiter and on these occasions the band would need to speak to the venue in advance

Q) How far in advance do I need to book?
A) The short answer is as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as we can not reserve any entertainment until you place your booking.
