1. Questionnaire Results

• Q.1 Introduce the New Pool Rules that were brought in January 1998

For: 2 Against: 4 Abstained: 4

• Q.2 Changing the Points Scoring where you only get 2 Points for a Win and 0 for Lose.

For: 3 Against: 3 Abstained: 4

• Q.3 Having the Singles Knockout at 1 Venue (BRJ) on 1 Night only. Players need to turn up to take part.

For: 6 Against: 0 Abstained: 4

Only 6 Forms handed in. No Forms Received from Harrier A+B, Victaulics and The Sun

Any change on the above Questions possible re-vote with all Captains at AGM

1. Season Gripes

• Winning teams not phoning in the results on a Monday Night therefore results incomplete for faxing to THE HUNTS POST & TOWN CRIER local papers. A 1 point penalty deduction for first offence as a warning and then 2 points for any subsequent offence.

• The 1 Point Penalty deduction was agreed with 2 points for second or more offences

• Result cards not being filled in Properly or not receiving them that week. I would like player’s names to be filled in with First Name (or Initial) followed by Surname. Again maybe we should introduce penalty points for me not receiving cards on time or for filling them in incorrectly.

• Again Penalty Points was agreed for Incorrect cards filled in

• Venue’s for Presentation Night’s. Only three venue’s really acceptable for Presentations Nights (Brampton S & SC , Victaulics S & SC , BRJ club). Any comments on this? Also is everyone happy with having them on a Monday and do you agree that Venue hosting event should supply the food and do a football card to maybe get some money back

• Everyone was happy with this proposal and Lord Protector was also added as a possible Venue

• Signing on new players. Maybe we should only allow new players to be signed on in first half of the season only. Maybe we should charge £2 for any extra sign-ons

• A Two pound charge was accepted for signing on new players

• Should we have a winter & Summer League if we have lots of Teams? Maybe have 1 Division and make it last most of Year then have a break rather then splitting into 2 divisions and having very short seasons…..

• Keep League’s as they are

1. Way Forward:-

• It would be good if I could Fax Everyone the new Fixture lists and results rather then Posting or Travelling. Does everyone have a Fax Number I could have for this purpose

• No Fax Numbers given

• Introducing a best player trophy award this season for who ever wins the Most games. Should it be based on just singles or singles & Doubles. If there is a tie then maybe decide it on ( No of Wins – No of loses)

• Agreed it to be based on singles only
