Welcome to the Folk Association of South Hants website.

Here you will find information on the vast range of exciting folk-related organisations

  • music
  • dance
  • folk clubs and informal musical gatherings
  • performers
in South Hampshire and the surrounding regions.

If you are new to the folk traditions of England and the rest of the British Isles (or if you even didn't know there was such a thing) here is a good place to start. As well as the wide range of information within Solent Waves (the FASH Newsletter which makes up the rest of this site), you can find additional information on the Southern Counties Folk Federation site, the neighbouring Wiltshire Folk Association site, in the Sussex Folk Guide and on SEFAN, the South East Folk Arts Network amongst others. If you are assciated with events or groups which you think could be listed here, contact us (see Committee below).

Any of the FASH Officers listed below will be very pleased to talk to you personally.

The buttons on the left all open new windows. To investigate Solent Waves in depth, you may prefer to open here and operate from the newsletter's own home page!
