RETURN TO HOMEPAGE COMPLETE SITE INDEX INTRODUCTION
BBC Southern Counties Radio (BBC SCR) is one of the many regional radio stations broadcast by the corporation around the United Kingdom. The BBC also broadcasts national and international radio stations, most of which are available to hear on the internet including BBC Southern Counties Radio. The broadcasting of BBC local radio stations on the internet is a new venture which started in the summer of 2004. This comes as great news to all those fans of BBC local radio who can still enjoy their favourite station when they move away from normal transmitter range. To find out more about BBC radio stations and frequencies click here. BBC SCR officially covers the areas of Surrey, North East Hampshire and Sussex in southern England, but if you live slightly outside these areas you will still be able to pick up the station via your wireless radio. You are now at an advantage if you have an internet connection (of course) because it doesn't matter where you live on the planet if you want to listen to the best radio station! If you live in or near Guildford, Surrey, the radio frequency to which you need to tune your radio is 104.6fm. You will need to refer to the station's website for other frequencies in the station's targetted areas. This website has only been up and running since April 2003 and I am interested to hear about your ideas for site content and general feedback. Feel free to contact me (zoefromguildford@yahoo.co.uk). Please note that this is not an official BBC site, so I am unable to answer questions to do with the company, certainly not in an official capacity anyway. ![]() |
