LESLIE KENNETH O'BRIEN
The 22nd Chief Cashier, Leslie O'Brien was born on 8 February 1908 and entered Bank service in 1927. He was appointed Deputy Chief Cashier in 1951 and
was Chief Cashier from 17 January 1955 until 28 February 1962. He rose through Executive Director and Deputy Governor to become Governor from 1966-73.
He was knighted in 1967 and became Lord O'Brien of Lothbury in 1973.

JASPER QUINTUS HOLLOM
The 23rd Chief Cashier, Jasper Hollom was born on 16 December 1917. He entered Bank service in 1936. During the Second World War he served in the
infantry in the Middle East and the Western Desert. He was captured in 1942 and sent to a POW camp in Italy. He was Deputy Chief Cashier from 1956 and
Chief Cashier from 1 March 1962 to 30 June 1966. He was knighted in 1975. He retired in 1984 after serving as Deputy Governor and a Director.

JOHN STANDISH FFORDE
The 24th Chief Cashier, John Fforde was born on 16 November 1921. During the war he served as a pilot in the RAF. After the war he returned to Oxford
where he became a Fellow of Nuffield College. He entered Bank service in 1957. He was appointed Chief Cashier on 1 July 1966, a position he held until 28
February 1970.

JOHN BRANGWYN PAGE
The 25th Chief Cashier, John Page was born on 23 August 1923. Having served as a pilot with the RAF in the war, he joined the Bank in 1948. He became
Assistant Chief Cashier in 1966 and First Deputy Chief Cashier in 1968. He held the post of Chief Cashier from 1 March 1970 to 29 February 1980.
