Sudden Death of the Rev Jas. B. Trimmer

We regret to announce the sudden death of this much-respected gentleman (whose father was for very many years rector of the parish), at Heston, on Friday the 2nd, at the age of 51. His remains were deposited in the family vault in the church, on Tuesday, the 6th inst. The funeral was very private, but attended by the school children and many sorrowing friends.

The late rev. gentleman's character was in every way estimable; his mild and kind disposition endeared him to those of every class. He was one of the trustees of the Norwood Charity School, and his charitable and liberal mind was of great support to all the local institutions, among which his loss will be severely felt. We attended Divine Service at Heston on Sunday morning last in the expectation of hearing some mention made of the virtues of the deceased, but not the slightest notice was taken. Common courtesy to the memory of the illustrious in death does not appear to find favour within the precincts of Heston church.
