21 November 2008. In the last month Reseiclo has received orders for 2 Treeseats, manufactured to our own design from reclaimed hardwood, for Newport City Council for installation in a 'sensory garden' at a Primary School in Newport (see pic below); a 3 metre long bespoke loft stairs for a private house in Cardiff; and 12 small planters for the Bristol based charity Sustrans for delivery to Grangetown in Cardiff. We have also welcomed a new customer for our waste wood collection service - IHWT Ltd., based in Newport.

7 August 2008. As from last week, a selection of Reseiclo products have been available for sale at the Community Furniture Shop in Pill, Newport. This shop is located at 52/53 Commercial Road, Newport (01633 216855), and is operated by Newport Wastesavers. We have gone into partnership with Wastesavers - the organisation that carries out kerb-side recycling in Newport on behalf of Newport City Council - in order to bring good quality products made locally from re-claimed wood to the public. As well as buying goods, products can be ordered through the shop.
Next week (14th August) we will be participating in the 'Recycling Day' at Greenmeadow Community Farm, in Cwmbran. This gives the people of Cwmbran an opportunity to see what we are doing for recycling in the Gwent Area and further afield. (A full report will be posted here later).
At the end of last month we welcomed a new customer to our waste wood collection service. Shine Food Machinery Ltd, manufacture and distribute catering equipment from their base in Newport.
9 June 2008. Although slightly outside Reseiclo's area of operation, we have begun collecting wood waste from SPP Pumps Ltd., based in Coleford in Gloucestershire. SPP Pumps were established in 1875. The company manufactures pumps for Product applications that include:
* Fire protection and fire fighting
* Water supply, circulation and distribution
* HVAC
* Dewatering, drainage, irrigation
Many of the components used in the manufacture of the pumps are delivered to the Coleford factory from all over the world. As in most industries, these parts are delivered in wooden crates or on wooden pallets.
Where these crates and pallets cannot be re-used, or are broken, the wood will be collected by Reseiclo and recycled.
SPP Pumps are accedited to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard and recycling of waste is an important part of the system.
31 March 2008. The Royal Welsh College or Music and Drama in Cardiff have decided that, instead of disposing of their Stage Sets in a skip after the play has finished it's run, they will recycle them! Reseiclo has begun picking up the used sets from the College and the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. The wood will either be reused and made avialable for sale, or will be recycled as wood chips. Not only that, the college has purchased some reclaimed timber for use in their sets!
4 February 2008. Reseiclo Community Wood Recycling began the woodwaste management of the Ymyl-yr-afon site in Newport being constructed by Persimmon Homes (www.persimmonhomes.com). Persimmon Homes are the UK's leading housebuilder which has been trading since 1972 and became a FTSE 100 company in December 2005. The Ymyl-yr-afon site is situated on the East bank of the River Usk in Newport, South Wales. It is a development of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and a range of 3 & 4 bedroom homes. The development forms an important part of the Newport city centre regeneration in the area called the River East Gateway. See Newport City Council website.
2 November 2007: Reseiclo collection service customer, Andrew Scott Construction,completes the construction of the new clubhouse at the Celtic Manor Resort golf course in preparation for the Ryder Cup tournament in 2010. Reseiclo is contracted to remove the waste timber produced during the final building work. 24 cubic yards of waste wood recycled.

October: Beechwood House renovation and extension project, Newport. As part
of the wood waste removal contract, Reseiclo salvages a large amount of pine
floor-boards. These will be cleaned and sanded at Reseiclo's premises and
offered to the public for re-use. See reclaimed timber page.
