WATER QUALITY

Water quality is the most important aspect with reef keeping. I check weekly for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph i think these are the most important checks to do. I also do optional tests these consist of phosphate, iron, calcium, copper and dissolved oxygen. I test my water quality the same time each day normally just before feeding time. I try to keep my water at optimum levels and I am achieving this. I do a 20% water change weekly with high quality water. I never leave a water change till tomorrow I stick to the weekly pattern. I daily dose Liquid calcium 8 drops morning and night. My calcium reading is 410 ppm. Daily I also add 8 drops of iodine in the morning. Weekly I add one cap full of iron, strontium&molybdenum, essential elements, and coral vite.
