Modeler – The Great Crane Game
My second CD (to label it an “album” or even a “demo CD” feels pretentious) is finally available for download. It has taken me over three years to write, record and produce. Following on from Infinite Lives, I consider The Great Crane Game to be the limit of what I can do by myself – at least for the moment.
All songs are instrumental, with the exception of “Fenlander” which features dialogue lifted from an old video game named Strider. “Stone Angel” also features some sampled voices. I have found that the greatest challenge is keeping things interesting; I fear for my music becoming repetitive and formulaic. What I write may not be to everyone's tastes but it comes from within (including my own drum patterns – I do not use loops). One of the best pieces of advice I have ever received is “once you start crowd-pleasing, you may as well give it up”.

Old clichés aside, it is unlikely that anyone will enjoy listening to this CD as much as I enjoyed creating it (the important this is I don't care). These MP3s are free to distribute for non-commercial purposes as long as the original tags remain unmodified (I'm no good at the legal stuff, just don't steal my work okay?)
