So
having got to this point I imagine quite a few of you think I'm nuts
! I'm not - I just have a lot of interests because I like to keep
occupied and never waste any time. I hope that my enthusiasm for things
collectable will enrich other people's lives via these pages, and
indeed I have received many emails thanking me for the nostalgic trip.
Thank you to all those people who have emailed words of encouragement
and praise - knowing that my efforts are appreciated is reward indeed.
To those few who have had unkind words to say - is your life as full ? Now, about this couple of million Pounds I need ...! Anyone? |

Dusting
Since I placed these pages, I have been inundated with questions about dusting. It seems I have aroused great concerns amongst many of you as to how I actually go about doing it, how long it takes me, how often I do it and is it difficult. It was a bit worrying to get so many messages obsessed with dusting my collections ! My 'Forth Road Bridge' comment at the start of the pages was not enough for some of you, details have been demanded ! I am informed by a master duster (!) that "the biggest hint/trick, of course, is that the duster enjoy possessing whatever it is that needs to be dusted. If the items bring joy, maintaining it is a pleasure. If it brings no joy, maintenance is a burden". This is very true. I do not intend to devote any of my site to the task of dusting, suffice to say it does get dusted and the house IS clean and tidy. |
