GOOD NEWS for LT USERS

Big news for LT a site user has recently brought to my attention a new program I had not come across before, ToolboxLT 2007 from GloabCAD, this actually enables LT users to use Autolisp routines. Such as all the stuff on this site.

Even though this program costs as much as LT the combined cost is no where near the cost of a full version Autocad. Autodesk will not be happy, which cant be a bad thing. I have not tried this product out so include a write-up by the user who let me know about this. And of course a link to the home site

I have recentlyly discovered an add on for AutoCAD LT called ToolboxLT 2007 by a company called GloabCAD. It's very straight forward to install and gives you nearly all of the functionality of full blown AutoCAD inlcuding:

3D modelling (surfaces and solids), editing and 3D zoom, pan and orbit.
Advanced shading including Gouraud for more realistic presentations.
Load and run Lisp, ARX and DBX utilities and applications.
Advanced image import, manipulation and clipping capabilities.
Express Tools style layer commands including match/isolate object's layer.
Create stylish hach patterns and complex linetypes automatically from almost any drawing objects.

Includes hundreds of professionally drawn industry-standard hatch patterns and complex linetypes......and many more.

I have been especially impressed with the lisp enabler that has allowed me to use, previously unavailable, lisp routines in LT.

However, it will not run all lisp routines unfortunately. I have found it has a 80-90% success rate so far. At the moment it only supports AutoCAD LT 2000-2006 but I am told by the developers that the 2007 support is iminent.

There is a 30 trail version that is well worth a download and a look at. Checkit out at

I hope users find this interesting and I will put up any comments users may have who havew also tried this program, especially with any of my routines.
