IntelliCAD Users Download Section
This page will take you through the process of downloading and installing the IntelliCAD programs on your own computer.
There are Three sets of downloadable files:- INTELLICAD 2001, EASY SECTION and KEC If you do not want to download at this time you can go back to IntelliCAD Page or Homepage The programs to download are:-
(1).INTELLICAD 2001
(2).KEC
(3).EASY SECTIONIt is equivalent to Autocad v14, but is upward compatible with Autocad 2004 and beyond. Later versions of Autocad can be saved down to compatibly to this version. This is a useful tool for anyone wanting to learn Autocad at home without the enormous expense of buying the a full cad package and it can use the routines on this site. To install KEC download the Intellicad-kec-9-01.zip into you IntelliCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your IntelliCAD directory. One of these files is a read me file called Intellicad-KEC-read-me.txt. This file gives all the details for instilation. You can read this file now by Clicking HERE 428 kb download To install EASY SECTION, download the Intellicad-section-9-01.zip into you IntelliCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it , you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Intellicad directory. This file gives all the details for instilation. you can read this file now by Clicking HERE 647 kb download Back to KEC download READ ME DOCUMENT FOR KEC This includes Kec - Ksurvey - Kutils3 - A1 Sheets INSTILATION AND SETTING UP FOR INTELLICAD 2D PLAN DRAFTING FOR ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS USING INTELLICAD The object of KEC is to enable architects, builders and designers using IntelliCad, to produce very BASIC PLAN drawings, very quickly and efficiently. (this is a free basic form of AutoCads AEC) KEC is a set of utilities for drawing architectural plans, it inserts walls both cavity and single skin, inserts openings, windows and doors into these walls. There are routines to assist with drawing out surveys and external works. Also included some basic domestic fittings WCs sinks etc. As well as being quick, the system is very accurate, so plans can produced can be used at any scale from 1:5 to 1:500. The system is designed for the average user, it is not a specialist tool but it will produce most of the basic tools most designers require most of the time. HOW TO INSTALL KEC This version of KEC is for uses of IntelliCad v2001 or above How to load KEC into IntelliCad. 1. After downloading Intellicad-KEC-pluss-9-01.exe from the Internet or copying it from the CD make sure it is copied into the Intellicad main directory. Now use file manager to find the file then click on this file to run it. Intellicad-KEC-pluss-9-01.exe is a self extracting file and will extract all the necessary files into your Inellicad directory. 1. Start IntelliCAD. In the command line type 'menuload'. The Customise pop up file box will appear, select the tab at the top called 'Toolbars' Select the button at the bottom 'Import...' Goto the main IntelliCAD directory (you should be in it) and select the file:- Intellicad-KEC.mnu Then select 'Open'. The menu will automatically loaded. Close the Customise pop up file box. 3. NOTE KEC is run from menu bars. When first loaded all the menu bars should display. If not or you have turned them off do the following:- To load the menu bars right click on any menu button to open the Toolbar pop down options menu. select any of the 'KEC Menu Groups' to tern the boxes on or off. The eight menus are:- KEC-rooms KEC-cavity KEC-walls KEC-survey KEC-fittings Ksurveys Kutils v3 Drawing Sheet A1 Questions and Answers Questions and Answers At the moment there are no known problems with Easy Section. It is a much used program adjusted from AutoCad so most of the bug were worked out there. Using the computers ability for storing symbols and its in built mathematical base, we can get the computer to all the mundane tasks. Such as calculating the number of tiles at fit along the roof rafter or spacing joists out across a room. As well as being quick, the system is very accurate, so sections produced can be used at any scale from 1:50 to 1:5. The system is designed for the average user, it is not a specialist tool but it will produce most of the sections most designers produce most of the time. HOW TO INSTALL EASY-SECTION Easy-section-v4 is for uses on IntelliCad v2001 or above How to load Easy Section into IntelliCad. 1. After downloading Easy Section from the Internet or copying it from the CD make sure it is copied into the Intellicad main directory. Now use file manager to find the file Intellicad-section-9-01.exe then click on this file to run it. Intellicad-section-9-01.exe is a self extracting file and will extract all the necessary files into your Intellicad directory. When you have done this do the following before starting Intellicad. 2. Start IntelliCAD. In the command line type 'menu'. in the pop up file manager box select in the 'Files Type' and change to 'IntelliCAD Menu File (icm)' 3. Goto the main IntelliCAD directory (you should be in it) and select the file:- IntelliCAD-section-ver3.icm 4. Then select 'Open'. The menu will automatically load the popdown menus. Questions and Answers At the moment there are no known problems with Easy Section. It is a much used program adjusted from autocad so most of the bug were worked out there. Saying that there is one I know of. On inserting the roof truss the roof section program does not extend all the internal members they have ot be extended manually.
