KEC architectural for AutoCAD
Download Section
This page will take you through the process of downloading and installing the Autocad programs on your own computer.
There are Eight sets of downloadable files:-

KEC (architectural)
To install KEC download the KEC-acad-2000.zip into your AutoCAD main directory.
Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.
One of these files is a read me file called KEC-readme.txt. This file gives all the details for instilation. You can see typical instructions for installing by

AUTOCAD SECTION 2000 (architectural)
To install AUTOCAD SECTION 2000, download the KESection-acad--2000.zip into your AutoCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.

AUTOCAD ELEVATION 2000 (architectural)
To install AUTOCAD ELEVATION 2000, download the KEE-elevation-acad-2000.zip into your AutoCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.

AUTOCAD KUTILS 4 2000
To install AUTOCAD UTILS 4 2000, download the Kutils-4-acad-2000.zip into your AutoCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.

AUTOCAD KDOOR SCHEDULE 2003
To install AUTOCAD KDOOR SCHEDULE 2003, download the KDoorshed-acad-2003.zip into your AutoCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.

KARRROW 2000
To install AUTOCAD KARRROW 2000, download the Karrrow-acad-2000.zip into your AutoCAD main directory. Then from file manager click on this file to open it, you will need a Zip utility loaded to do this, extract all the files into your Autocad directory.

HOW TO INSTALL UTILITIES:
The K series 2000 is a new addition to KEC. It is designed to
run on both AutoCad 14 and AutoCad 20000
How to load a 'K utility' into AutoCad.
(here the name 'K utility' stands for the utility selected.)
1. After downloading the 'K utility' from the Internet or copying from the
CD you will have a zip file called 'K utility'-acad-2000.zip. Using a
zip tool extract all the files from the zip file and put them
onto the AutoCad main Directory (the one where Acad.exe is)
The before starting AutoCad do the following.
In explorer (or any other file manager) find the files :-
'K utility'-acad-2000.mnc and 'K utility'-acad-2000.mnr
Select both an in the properties box select, read only.
(if copying from a CD the above does not apply)
2. Start AutoCad then in the command line type 'menuload'.
in the pop up dialog box select the 'Browse..' button.
Go to the main AutoCad directory and select the file:-
'K utility'-acad-2000.mnc
Then select Load.
The menu will appear in the Menu Groups box.
3. POP DOWN MENUS
NOTE
This part is optional KEC is mainly run from menu bars.
At the top of the box Select the 'Menu Bar' tab.
In the 'Menu Group' box select 'K utility'-acad-2000.
You will now see in the 'Menus' box menu headings.
Insert these into you main menu one at a time.
(Note they insert in front of the last item highlighted on
the 'Menu Bar' box)
Close the 'Menu Customisation' box.
4. MENU BARS
The pop down menu is additional to the menu bars.
To load the menu bars right click on any menu button to
open the Toolbar pop up dialog box.
In the 'Menu Group' box select 'K utility'-acad-2000.
As you Click on the Toolbar and it will appear on the
screen.
Close the Toolbar dialog box.
