ABOUT US:

Tony Herbert set up the practice of A.P Herbert Surveyors in 1987 after owning and running a general practice Estate Agency business in Redbourn called Haydn Davies & Co, which he had acquired some 9 years previously. Prior to that, he had worked for a number of estate agencies in the north London and Hertfordshire areas.

Tony Herbert is a qualified member and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has lived in Harpenden for over thirty years having spent his early life and school days in Barnet. In 1999, he decided to restyle his practice A.P.Herbert & Associates but the personnel remain unchanged. In 2000 Tony joined the newly formed Surveyors and Valuers Accreditation group (SAVA) with whom he became an accredited surveyor. As a qualified NVQ Assessor he assesses prospective Home Inspectors and Surveyors, and Domestic and Commercial Energy Assessors who wish to enter the industry. He lectures for the National Energy Services organisation in Milton Keynes on subjects relative to all those qualifications and devises on-line training courses for them.

Tony Herbert undertakes inspections of residential properties, commercial properties and provides advice to building owners with regard to procedures under the Party Wall etc Act 1996. He also undertakes inspections and calculations for Domestic Energy Performance Certificates and Commercial Energy Performance Certificates.
