 To celebrate the completion of the restoration of the above organ there will be an Organ recital  on the newly refurbished organ on Saturday June 9th 2007 at 7.00pm  by the greatly renowned organist                       Dame Gillian Weir DBE.

    The following day, June 10th 2007  at 3.00pm, there will be a Service of Rededication of the organ  with guest speaker the Rev Dr Janet Wootton M.A. former minister of  the Union Chapel, Islington where the organ was first installed

  This  organ designed by H.J.Gauntlett and built by G.M.Holdich in 1867 has delighted worshippers over the generations and now it is in the process of restoration.The overall cost will be close to £113,000 and with the help of grants by The Council for the Care Of Churches, The George Ward Charity, Knights of Malta No 50 Masonic Lodge,The Congregational & General Charitable Trust, Leicester Historic Churches Trust, The AllchurchesTrust Ltd and the ON Organ Fund and by gifts and donations we have raised (15/03/07) the £113,000.
