CBS - Business Radio (Common Base Station)
A CBS is a shared repeater. It is owned and operated by a service provider who then leases out airtime to one or more users. It provides wide area comms to users such as taxis and skip hauliers. A CBS is often located on a remote hilltop site. Physically, it will consist of a repeater, tone panel, duplexer and aerial, plus associated mast and transmitter hall.
