ARMOUR

S FORGOTTEN FUTURES doesn't contain extensive rules for different types or combinations of primitive armour, I've put together a few examples for play testing purposes in the coming months (see scenarios). Characters are also given the option of piecing together armours of different types rather than buying complete suits.

NOTES:
1: CAN BE WORN UNDER PLATE FOR A CUMULATIVE MODIFIER
2: HP=NUMBER OF WOUNDING HITS ARMOUR CAN WITHSTAND BEFORE BECOMING INEFFECTIVE
3: LACQUERED HIDE ARMOUR CANNOT BE REPAIRED AND MUST BE REPLACED
N: TYPE NOT AVAILABLE IN THAT LOCATION

ARMOUR HIT POINTS

ACH piece of armour is allocated a number of hit points depending on material type and construction. Each time a location takes a wounding hit (ie: any hit which has an effect of F (Flesh Wound), I (Injury), C(Critical), K/O (Knockout) or K (Kill)) the HP rating of the armour in the location hit is reduced by 1. When the HP of a piece of armour is reduced to 0 it no longer affords any protection to that location.

ARMOUR COST / REPAIR

RMOUR can be bought in either individual pieces or as a complete suit. Acquiring armour in pieces is usually cheaper, however a complete suit of armour is a status symbol and as such affords it's wearer a +3 SOUL bonus when making any checks to influence strangers. When armour is damaged it can be repaired at a cost by any blacksmith or weaponsmith. Note that all costs are quoted in DMU's (pr: Dee-Mu's) Dual Monetary Unit and must be converted into the local currency or bartered for using the relevant exchange rates (see Tackle).
