I've been completing some of the smaller jobs that have been lying around and waiting to be done. I've now completed the fuel line and have wired up the fuel pump.
I've also managed to connect the prop shaft. What an interesting job that was. I spent a number of occasions backwards and forwards to the shops in town trying to get a bolt that would clamp the spline onto the end of the gearbox. I ended up taking a disused main gear from a scrapper along to the shops in town and simply asked for a bolt to fit onto the end. That done, the prop shaft is now in place and I've also fitted the drive plate for the speedo sensor. I still need to manufacture a bracket to fix the pick-up unit to, but Pilgrim have given me a template for this. Looks like it simply fits onto the diff (somewhere).
I now have my shopping list together for the rest of the parts I need. If only you could put Time on the list......
Today is my wedding anniversary so won't get to do much on the car today - best keep the wife happy! More soon.
