First time out: - Elvington
On the drag bike front, all went well until we started to encounter gearbox problems (couldn`t get from 1st into 2nd and 2nd into 3rd). The first run was 17.5 secs at 76 mph, the second run was 15 secs at 80 mph, then things started to go wrong. On the last run I blew the head gasket, but not to worry we can rebuild it - I HOPE. Everything else worked a treat and it handles really well, no tank slaps or wheelies. - Phil (Wing Commander)

Tech Spec
MZ ETZ donor accounts for: Forks, Front wheel & Swing Arm
Frame - hand built, over 8.5 foot long. The drive chain is over 9 foot long!
Tank - hand built
Rear wheel - hand built using MZ hub & Borriani rim.
Engine - Gilera Nordwest 600 single with Amal carb set up to run on Methanol - or Vodka if its cheaper! ( Actually, Daz's wee may be good enough)
Ignition system by 'Old Holborn' - see below
cost to date - about £250 !
