Finding time to indulge and play chamber music
amongst the commitments of day to day life is not always
easy so we offer you a long weekend where the priority
is to play chamber music, along with local food and
wine, unspoilt countryside and professional tutors.
Pre formed groups are very welcome, as are individual
players. Before the course we will send you the proposed
repertoire. There is a large library of music so many
combinations can be catered for, from the standard
string quartet to cello ensembles. We always aim to
match levels of experience within ensembles, but if
changes need to be made this is always possible.
There are 2 main rehearsal periods a day, the morning
and late afternoon until dinner. All groups have a room,
stands and scores available, and as tutors we circulate
between groups. An informal concert is arranged on the
Sunday night but there is no obligation to do this.
Informal chamber music sessions after dinner are always
welcomed and the music library is open to
everyone.
