Science Park Cycle Access

The Cambridge Cycling Campaign survey showed that the entrance by Unit 18 is heavily used by cyclists.

First, you need to get to the gate, which is not as easy as it could be as the path on the west side of Milton Road is a footpath only and prohibited for cycles. Could this be changed?

This is the gate you have to pass through to enter the Park. The gap is only 80cm which is a very tight fit for some handlebars. Could this be widened?

You then have to negotiate a large earth mound which has led to some hairy moments when cyclists meet travelling in opposite directions!

The other side of the mound looks like this:

Here is the point where a ramp could be constructed to allow cycles access to the cycle rack in the car park:

After this there is a barrier preventing cyclists from joining the road. Could this be removed and other measures used to prevent collisions?
