Soham November 2001
It was cold, but I fancied it, so as we were visiting friends in Soham I
decided to cycle while Angela took the car. It was a pleasant run - straight
up the A10 for eight miles to Stretham, then another eight to Soham. As it was
cold and dark I decided to wimp out of the return journey, popped the wheels
off and put the bike in the back of the car. Easier than I thought - only took
a minute.
We were hoping to buy some flour but
sadly Downfield Windmill is in a real state and it's likely to be a long time
before it can be reopened. Anyone know of a way of getting grants?
Total 16.3 miles in 75 minutes, average 13 mph
