The Becker United support group was  launched in March  2005. It aims are to offer information, advice, support (and some fun!) to those who have Becker MD, as well as their friends, family colleagues, carers and supporters.The Group is based in the UK but the membership is open to all as with the internet there are no boundaries, we include information and links for the UK but we also are including links in the USA

 

Becoming a member

To become a member we need you to contact us to give us some details including a name,  Email address and the area you live in so that we can show this on the webpage for families a few notes will be helpful about who has Becker MD and what age they are . We will also ask you if we can share this information with others as we need your permission to do this so please ask us when you contact us to “please add me to your list of members”.

How We work

The way the group will work is this: -We need you to contact us , we will then ask you to provide us with some details such as Email address, which area you live in.. We will also ask you if we can share this information with others as we need your permission to do this.

 The groups webpage which will provide the following services to the members.

1.      Firstly it will contain a list of Members by the Area they live in with Email addresses the purpose being to provide members with the means to contact others in their area and so promote interaction between members.

  1. It lists items by members such as useful tips , useful Software/Hardware and stories provided by members
  2. It will be used to give news and links to other Becker related sites including those outside the UK.

4.      It will eventually  list Local support groups in the UK  (setting up Local support groups in the UK will be our next stage),

 

( We do recognise that some people do not have access to the Internet so we will need to post out some copies to a few members we wish to include everyone )

 
 The group has been setup as an aid to the Becker MD community to encourage communication between members to share experiences and break down the isolation its future aim is  to develop a network of Local support groups.
 
We also want members to contact us with stories, items hints etc which we can use to create a regular Newsletter which  is intended to become a regular magazine for the Becker community created with items provided by the members. At present these stories have been used on the website instead of a newsletter as the webpage is an online newsletter.
