Andrew Norris 1961-2007
Andrew Norris passed away on New Year's to know
Andrew was a privilege and I have added this so that we can remember him .He
portrayed what Becker United was all about by making friends and showing others
that you can enjoy life no matter how hard life can treat you.
The
I picked 3 things from it so you will have to
read the rest yourself via the links below.
Two weeks earlier
he made sure his wife Carol's birthday was special by buying her an antique
gold watch and they celebrated with a family meal.
She said:
"Andrew was such a special person. He was a bright star who brought a lot
of light into people's lives.
"He
didn't see himself as brave, he was just a normal man who did as much as he
could for as long as he could, and we were extremely happy together."
I myself have known Andrew for a couple of years through Becker United and have been to his house and met him on a couple of occasions .The thing about Andrew that I remembered it that he always had a smile on his face. He faced more problems than anyone else I know with Becker Muscular Dystrophy but he didn’t just put up with them it was like he ignored his problems and got on with enjoying life .
On Wednesday I will be at the funeral as it is just a couple of miles from where I work and it is close to my favourite walking places. Having Becker I may be able to walk but the location of the Church makes it not an easy place to cope with . I will be there as Andrew deserves to be given a good send off he helped a lot of people as he was and we want to remember his smiling face .
I will not add any more about that story as it deserves to be read as it so click on one of these links below to read it they are the same but on different sites.
