MDC UK e-campaign network

Campaigning for change using email and the internet is a fast growing method of getting views across and influencing decision makers.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has a number of issues on which we would like to see change and improvement.

These include improvements in NHS services for those with muscle/nerve disease, more research funding into the causes and treatments and ensuring that wheelchair provision and home adaptations are fully funded and available to all.

To sign up to be a part of this network, contact me at D.Ward@muscular-dystrophy.org

This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

We won’t inundate you with hundreds of emails, or pass your address on to any other organization. We will simply send you a monthly update, plus special updates as and when significant events or announcements happen.

Your help can be very effective in bringing about change, just two or three emails from you, multiplied by the thousands of others across the country who support the campaign can work to educate, inform and influence those with the power to change the lives of people with DMD,BMD , CMT and other neuro-muscular conditions.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Update 11Th May 2006

Muscular Dystrophy Campaign: e-campaigners network

The campaigns section of our website has now been updated with the priority campaigns for the rest of this year and beyond and has new sections allowing you to get involved through the site.

Hard Pushed, the campaign for better provision of powered wheelchairs on the NHS has a new campaigns page with information on the next stage of the campaign.

The page also links to a new interactive site where you can sign a petition, take part in our on-line poll and send us you feedback on the campaign and you experiences of wheelchair provision.

The Hard Pushed campaign page can be found at:

http://www.muscular-dystrophy.org/campaigns/hard_pushed/index.html

Also our website now includes, in the write to your MP section an automatic email system where you simply type your message to your MP, enter your postcode and the system will automatically send the email to the right MP and cc the message to me (you can turn this feature off if you want).

This page can be found at:

We would be grateful if you could take part in one or all of these activities and help us raise awareness in Parliament of muscular dystrophy, and help to move these important campaigns forward.

Thanks
