Chris & Tina Knowles

Well it’s been over a year since the “big day”, and well I guess some of you have been wondering what we have been up to over the last year & a bit.

Firstly after receiving all our wonderful wedding gifts, Tina & her dad set about modernising the kitchen as we received a dishwasher, and a new hob & oven.

At New Year we went to Dublin with some of our friends.

Then we didn’t do a lot for the next couple of months.

In June, Tina “changed” jobs so she is now working in London for,

Westminster Children’s Society

(doing the same job as before just for a different group of nurseries!)

Then in July for Chris’ birthday we went away to Rome (a surprise for Chris, payback for the honeymoon!)

& Tina has had quite a bit of her hair cut off!

In late September we went to visit our friends Andy & Thea in Mexico, who we haven’t seen for nearly 2 years as they have been travelling the world.

We started off in Mexico City where we visited the main square

A short walk from the square is the remains of an Aztec pyramid

We then looked round the museum which explains (in Spanish) all about the pyramid and how it was built. (Thank goodness for pictures, & Andy & Thea’s excellent Spanish!!)

The next day we went up to the Valley of the Dead which is just north of Mexico City, where we climbed the sun & moon pyramid’s

The next day we went off to Acapulco for 5 days of sitting by the beach doing nothing. (Hence no pictures!!!! Just imagine Spain but with a lot more Americans!!!)

We then went up to Morelia and visited a local artisan market and the zoo.

Finally we went to Queretaro where Andy & Thea are living/ working.  They took us on a tour of Bernal where the 3rd biggest rock in the world is, but unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t get to see it but here’s a pictures of us trying to get near it!

And here’s a picture of what it does look like (when it’s not raining!)

We then spent the rest of the time exploring Queretaro looking at the aqueduct & the churches.

Then it was Tina’s birthday and in true Mexican tradition Andy & Thea threw a party for her, inviting their friends from the United School of English (where they work!) and got Tina a piglet shaped piñata!

We then bid Andy & Thea farewell and returned home!

Well that’s all for now really folks!

Chris & Tina.
