“Singing the Lord’s Song
In a Strange Land”"Overseas Fellowships in the U.K."
|
30th October to 1st November 2009 at Ammerdown Centre, Radsock, Nr Bath
|
The Conference will be led by:-
- Michael King - Leader in World Church Relationships
- Revd. George Mawire - Meth.Church Zimbabwe, now in circuit in London
- Revd. Graham Shaw - Former Mission Partner in Zimbabwe, now in Swanage
- Revd.s Audrey and Ed. Standhaft - Circuit Ministers in Bristol
The Conference will explore what it means to come from one of our partner churches overseas to live and work in U.K. and how the Church in U.K. can offer a welcome and receive from people of another culture, and make it possible for the newcomer to preserve and enjoy their home culture and church practices.
The Conference commences at 6.00 p.m. on Friday evening with a welcome and introduction, followed by supper, and concludes with an act of worship after lunch on Sunday. Detailed programmes and directions for travel will be sent to all attending. Access by road and parking for cars is easy. Importantly, all rooms are on the level, or accessible by lift. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Double, twin, and single rooms are available. It would be helpful if you would indicate if you are willing to share a twin-room, so maximising the number who can attend the Conference.
