This G1 winner of a million dollars is the best Urc has to offer right now.

Remains top juvy with a G3, and a G2 victory, was last race a throw out?Hmmmmm.

1 - NIGHT OF DEMONS(KY)  (tie)
This G3 winner stretched out last time and was coming on strong in the G1-North Fork Stakes. My pick  in BB.

1 - SOLO HOMERUN(KY)
Good looking up and coming colt who will better with distance.

2 yo Fillies -Dirt

Weekly Roundup

Just another week in URC where we notched 38 wins in 333 races.  This week our BP’s per runner took a dip even more down to 8.9 and falling to 15th in that category.  I suspect some trainers are giving their horses a break in preparation for next year’s campaign.  While others may be ready to peak this week with some Breeders Bowl titles on the line.

Breeder’s Bowl Abound

Since our stakes performance was fairly lackluster this week instead we’ll take a look at the Breeder’s Bowl entrants.

It appears URC will be very well represented in the Breeder’s Bowl races.  As of Tuesday morning 9 URC horses are trying to draw in.  Smokeglack brings Chef Pepin to the Filly Juvenile Turf and also has Call Waiting in the Breeder’s Bowl Sprint.  Jacklad brings the probable favorite in Hard Indian to the Juvenile Filly race.  It might be easier to tell you which horses of Qwikvett’s are not drawing in to the Breeder’s Bowl races, but here are the ones I found:  Fear Me Coming and South Of Heaven in the F&M Turf, Rock Hard Korn in the Classic, Mind Eraser and Kornsnake in the Distaff and Night of Demons in the Juvenile.  Good luck drawing in to everyone and hopefully you guys can win one or more for URC!

Horse in the Spotlight

It is not too often that you can claim a former stakes winner.  Shadow knew what she saw in Lucky’s Tortus and she pulled the trigger claiming the 4 year old colt for $30,000.  One of the things I still find challenging in the sim is finding the right claim, to me finding the right horse that is lightly raced while showing potential is very elusive.  This is the kind of claim that even I can tell is a great one.  The colt with a pedigree for success (SKY MESA X ELA-MANA-MOU X MR. PROSPECTOR) has only raced 32 times winning 8 of those including a stakes race.  This horse still has several options as the tag on him sits at a meager $2,000.  In his 10 sprints he has finished in the money 4 of those tries.  He has also only been tried on turf five times winning once and finishing in the money in another.  Since claiming he has run well for his proud owner at the starter level rattling off speeds of 103 and 99, winning one and finishing in the place spot in the previous attempt.  He looks like he will continue his winning ways and the best thing of all with a pedigree like that a he-mare certainly seems to be an option.  Shadowdncr may be fairly new to the sim, but she is certainly headed in the right direction when it comes to her 2 year old class and the types of claims that make you go, wow!  By the way if you ever decide you are bored with this one and enter it in a claiming race let me know. J

Good Luck to all the runners, especially those in the BB races this week!
