Here’s a brief run-down of what’s currently in the stable, with a few pics
Status S2 Classic six string - The finest bass I’ve ever owned by a long stick! I’ve had this since 2005 and it’s still the bass that I play 90% of the time. Status Graphite basses have fantastic tone and the graphite neck is a joy to play. This bass is featured on the majority of my MP3s
H & S Sequoia seven string - My new toy. I got this for a ridiculously low price on ebay and I bought it for novelty value really, but it’s a cracking bit of kit for the money.
Ibanez GWB35 fretless five string - I don’t play fretless very much, but this bass has a wonderfully dark tone, a beautiful instrument, now if only I could play it in tune! You can hear it on ‘Wobbly Stick And The Rasta Ducks’, although it’s going through some ridiculous effects at the time.
Ozark acoustic four string - My bumming around the house bass, pick it up, play it, stick it down, make tea.
Tanglewood Elfin short scale four string - another novelty bass, sounds good for forty quid! You can hear it on the track ‘Buzzbaby’.
There are a few others sitting around my house, but they come and go....
