Code of Practice
In order to achieve our commitment to equality The Rainbow Project
has formally adopted the CRE "Code of practice in Rented Housing"
where it specifically applies to voluntary projects.
Service Delivery
No young person who has contact with the Project and its work whether
applying for housing or wishing to use the services of the Project
will be treated less favourably than any other person or group of
persons because of their race, ethnic or national origin, colour,
gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, marital status, HIV
status, disability - The Project regrets the current office and
houses are inaccessible to wheelchair users - or appearance unless
a scheme/project has been set up for one gender only.
All selection and allocation procedures and decisions will be based
on the need of applicants for the housing and support services offered
by the Rainbow Project, the Project's ability to meet the applicant's
needs and the needs of the other residents and applicants.
Employment and Recruitment
No job applicant or employee will be treated less favourably than
any other person or group of persons because of their race, ethnic
or national origin, colour, gender, sexual orientation, religious
beliefs, marital status, HIV status, disability - The Project regrets
the current office and houses are inaccessible to wheelchair users
- or appearance.
Declaration
The Rainbow Project will ensure that service users, staff and Management
Committee members are aware of the CRE Code of Practice and it's
