Access Statement For Landguard House

Please find outlined below information we hope will ensure you enjoy your stay at Landguard House Guest House regardless of whether your life is affected in some way by a medical condition, disability, impairment or specific learning difficulty.

Prior to arrival.

Enquiries and reservations can be made by phone, fax or email.
If you should require a taxi from Southampton central station (approx.10 minutes drive) or the Airport (approx. 15 minutes drive) we can supply contact details on request.
Directions to our house can be found on our website, www.landguardhouse.co.uk.

On arrival at Landguard House.

There is car parking for 4-5 cars to the front of the property available to all guests. There are parking restrictions in Landguard Road itself between 8am and 6pm, but adjoining streets have no restrictions.
Entrance to the house is by way of one small step.
We are happy to help with your luggage.

Reception Area.

Our reception area is on one level on the ground floor and situated in our breakfast room.

Public Areas.

Our corridors are well lit and carpeted.
Our breakfast room has a wooden floor and is accessible from the front entrance and adjoining corridor.

Toilets

A toilet is situated on the ground floor. All other toilets are found on the first and second floor.

Fire Alarm.

The fire alarm system is bells audible in all areas of the house, no flashing lights. Evacuation is via the main staircase and the front door.
If you should require assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival.

Accommodation.

All our rooms and bathrooms are situated on the first and second floor of the property, accessible via a carpeted staircase. Our rooms are spacious but not adapted with grab rails.

Additional Information.

Service dogs (only) on request.
A small communal refrigerator is available for use on the second floor for medication or space can be made available in the kitchen fridge.
