Winchester 25-02-09
Sometimes,
I'm sure, we look at the rideout list and think that we don't really fancy the
destination.
Well if you did that today, you certainly missed out !
Today's
ride proved to me once again, and I'm sure to the other 14, that it's not the
destination
but the company that makes a day so great.
Mind you that said, Winchester was a fantastic place to spend a Sunday.
All of the shops seemed to be open, a Farmers market took over the town's main
street and
on top of all that, we found an American style Diner where we enjoyed a terrific
dinner.
Meeting up and having a chat.

Walking through the town in search of sustenance.

H discovers 'Buddys Diner'

Great decor and great food. I'd love to open a place like this.

Trust Mark
and Kate to sit by the Tabletop dancer.
(I only left her legs in so you don't stop reading here).

Fed and watered, we took a stroll around town

Before
ending up at the Cathedral. Some went inside,
while others enjoyed a chat in the sun outside.

It was
during this chat that we came up with some
interesting ideas for Vultures games and a new membership rule.
Unfortunately due to the PC brigade you'll have to ask us about this.
The Cathedral.

I think
that this was one of the best days out I've had in years. I laughed until my
sides hurt and can't believe how quickly the day went. Thanks to all of you who
helped make
it that way.
Oh and I look forward to seeing Gandhi at the next meeting.
