Portsmouth 28th September 2008

It's easy to forget just how good a Rideout can be, especially after such a wet and dreary summer.
Today's rideout was a great reminder of why our club is so good.
A good turnout, a lovely ride through the countryside and most of all great company.

A misty start to the day had just started to clear as we met up and set off.

Arriving in Portsmouth after a lovely ride we were delighted to see that the parking was free and that
there were even bike locks and lockers available. Some other towns should look at this !

First stop Coffee and a snack !

After Coffee, the group split into several smaller groups. Our group took the boat ride around the Docks.
£5 for around an hour was a real bargain. The views were fantastic and together with the weather
had a very obvious affect on some of our members. (Hmm.. I'm sure that could have been worded better).

Ren and Derek had a pose off. I'm not sure who won.

HMS Victory, the oldest commissioned War Ship in the World.

After the Boat Trip it was off to Dinner where Stimpy and Kat showed us just why
they are competing for Vultures Pin Up Girl 2008.

A walk around the shops and another Coffee and it was time for the ride home.

Even 40 miles of filtering through heavy traffic couldn't spoil the day and as we
parted ways and waved goodbye,  it really did feel sad leaving such good friends.
Still. never mind, we've got Monday morning and work to look forward to.....
