Lee Cotton The last two and a half years, since being part of the band, has been enjoyable and mostly a learning process. The band was formed by myself, Daniel Cotton, Kyle Cotton and Craig Cotton. We started performing for fun at Christmas parties, before the tragic death of our cousin Kyle. This event encouraged us even more, for the sake of Kyle. We all started learning instruments with me playing drums. I learnt to play basic rhythms just tapping my knees and progressed from watching my uncle Tony at gigs. We are all lucky to have the best teachers around.......our dads, that are part of the JETS. Where was your most enjoyable
performance ?: This was at a weekender in Brean Sands... The band still have a lot to learn and we are being taught by our uncle Ray how to master three part harmonies, which sound really great (when performed properly),but can be very hard , but we are getting there slowly...... Being part of a band isn't always glamorous, there are times where you have to drive six hours to the gig, carry the equipment up two flights of stairs before playing, then back down the stairs and another six hours home ........ But the buzz from a good gig makes it all worth while...... I would like to take the chance to say thank you to my Dad and uncles Ray & Tony, But most of all my cousin Kyle who had the original idea and the mastermind behind us ever starting a band....... Well that's enough about me, maybe I'll get the chance to see you all at some future gigs..... Cheers. Lee. Web site designed by Tony Cotton |
