V2.0: This version was lost in "the great move out of Essex." It added the title in red at the top, and a level counter, which was represented as a flashing red square in the top right corner, just saying "L1" to "L5", with L5 the fastest. The "Score" was re-aligned with the "Bricks" counter, so that after catching one brick out of one, the display read "Score 1 Bricks 1" instead of "Score 1 Bricks 2". Also, the descending scale as a brick is caught was reverted to a steeper drop in tone, as the original version was too long. V3.0: An extensive rehash, introducing the brick wall at the beginning (made out of the graphics for the bucket), the instructions and the selectable controls. The "L1" is relocated to a central "Speed" counter in the same style as the Score and Bricks counters. A "Full Marks" banner was added if ten bricks are caught, plus this means promotion by two levels. A routine was added which means it is not possible to progress through to level 6 if ten bricks are caught on level 4. V4.0: The game is now much harder. There are 10 levels instead of five; nine bricks must be caught to move up a level, and eight are needed to avoid dropping back. However, level 1 is slower than on previous versions. The "Promotion" and "Relegation" banners have replaced the "Full Marks". The "Speed" counter has been replaced by "Level", in inverse video, and contains uder-defined graphics to fit level 10 in. Considered for version 5.0: Maybe knock out the "promoted two levels" for ten bricks, and add a "joker" where a dropped brick can be added to the bucket if the player is in danger of relegation. Resize the brick wall at the beginning to two blocks wide instead of three (a more true-to-life wall) and add a proper end sequence. It should also be possible to use POKE 23606 to scroll round the level numbers as promotion or relegation happens!
