BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL - SAT 31.08.2002
By Tim Medway
ummm lets see... quick breakdown of my experience of bloodstock...
-
sleeping on the way there despite jimmers loud grindy metal comin out of
the speakers 3 inches from me head... ["Heartwork" by the mighty Carcass, no less... - Jimmer]
-
KFC! whooo! cheap and nasty. 2 for the price of one...
-
first bands weren't anything really special... maybe part from biomech..
who at least got the crowd going...
-
ran in to an ex-girlfriend just before Primordials set... i had to go buy
a ring in fright...
-
Basically, pretty much all the bands on the second stage were great.
-
Bal Sagoth were excellent. well worth the £20 i paid to some bloke outside
the gig for the tickets... and the main reason i can't really rotate my head
at all today...
-
the bands on the main stage were not exactly my cup of tea, shall we say..
was it Freedom call that had a song that started out like 'the final
countdown'? i don't know, i didn't stay long enough after i heard that
keyboard intro...
that said i did like a bit of blind guardians set; lord of the rings and
some of that cheesy acoustic they stuck in...
-
Bonzo berating jim on the way out... shes a scaaaary lady...
so, yay -
-
for the second stage.
-
my ring.
-
Bal Sagoth, Elvenking, Primordial and Return to the Sabbat
and nay -
-
to the ex-gf.
-
to the main stage.
-
to Freedomcall and Gammaray.
there you go... i'm sure you don't need another crappy review seeing as most
of ya were there anyway... but hey my two cents are only £1.50 at 6p/min...
so there..
toodles..
