If you've never grown out of your childhood passion for Lego, then this tea room is right up your street. Mind you, the child size Lego table and wooden chairs may cause you a problem! But it is one of the many touches which make this child friendly tea room a must.
Set in the beautiful village of Hallaton, next to the popular Bewicke Arms, it is a welcome watering hole from which to explore the lovely countryside around. Despite being newly built, it boasts many character features like pine floors and exposed beams. The numerous windows make it a very sunny tea room, but if you require direct contact with the reluctant British sun rays, then walk out on to the raised terrace which affords superb views over fields.
The menu features a selection of light lunches including fillings such as Brie and Bacon; and Grape, Cottage cheese and Pine nuts - perfect for the adventurous. Also, traditional home made cakes and scones are available, with the Victoria sponge with fresh fruit highly recommended. Naturally, tea, coffee and soft drinks are served.
The Lego table is only one of the child friendly touches. Highchairs are available, along with baby changing facilities. Then in the grounds of the tea room is a small animal walk with goats, rabbits and those all important pot bellied pigs. For older children a climbing frame offers plenty of amusement.
With newspapers for the adults, a fully stocked craft shop and good facilities for the disabled, this tea room will fast become an established hostelry for thirsty travllers of all ages.
