Many people seemed to enjoy the event. One particularly pleased-looking man (a fell runner in real life, I suspect) said 'It was really nice having to navigate; I even got lost!'
After everyone had gone, John went round the whole area and found not one piece of litter. Well done everybody, runners and efficient helpers alike.

Luckily the weather stayed more or less fine and I hope everybody enjoyed the courses they ran. Thank you to all the competitors who took the time to comment on the courses. This was the first event we have planned, so it was invaluable to receive feedback, good or bad.
The Green course proved very popular - we almost ran out of pre-printed maps. I hope the short legs on this course provided a technical challenge.
I would never have been able to plan the courses without the expert help and time given by Christine and Peter Roberts. Thank you also to other volunteers who helped with the string course and the collection of controls.
