Guidelines

The Club Champs are open to Full, Local and Group members of Eborienteers. Guest runners from other clubs can usually be accommodated at the standard Colour Coded fee.

Courses - see further below.

Courses should be relatively short to allow less experienced and older/younger competitors to complete the course in reasonable time. The winning times should be about 40mins for Seniors and 25mins for Juniors.

Start Time Allocation

The Start interval is an hour. Times should be allocated with due regard to possible winners/leaders who need to be spaced out. Course B is used by two Classes and start times and seeding must consider the course competitors rather than just the class in isolation.
Better the winners find the course short and fast than the tail enders, (or rear gunners as they were know in my last job), find it a marathon.

Trophies

There are perpetual trophies for the Class Winners and we usually provide small mementoes for 2nd & 3rd .

TRAVEL:

Directions (same as Relays on Sun 11th). Approach through Helmsley. On entering Helmsley from the south, head past Duncombe Park entrance, carry on to the church and take a right turn round the back of the church. Then left down Baxters Road to the swimming pool. Past the swimming pool and head north on single track road for 7km. Parking on forest road OS Grid Ref 595 906.

CAMPING:

Camping available and room for caravans, all for a small charge of £1 per person. Toilet and water. To book please ring Steve Corrigan on 01904 652546

B.	Open Women (W18-W40) & Veteran Men (M50+)
C.	Veteran Women (W45+)
D.	Junior Men (M14/16) Lt Green/Orange
E.	Junior Women (W14/16) Lt Green/Orange
F.	Young Junior (M/W12-) Yellow

START/FINISH:

Starts are between 1300 and 1400.

ENTRIES:

FREE entry for Club members, guests welcome by arrangement, car park £1.
Entries to Steve Corrigan by Wed 8th Jul, so start times can be allocated. Please use attached Entry Form. Start list will be published on the Web site by Fri 10th Jul. If you haven't got access to the Web site then call me or turn up before 1300 on the day, you won't have long to wait.

Planned by Barrie (Old Man) Speake and glamorously assisted by Mattie.

PRIZES:

Trophies for the top three in each class.

ACTIVITIES:

Pace Counting and Bearing Competition
BBQ. From 1800 ish, all welcome. Bring your own meat. We are trying to arrange one big barbie. All weather facilities available (Barn).
Singing round the camp fire, no prizes.
Club relays (Sunday)
