is very centrally located for touring the inland areas of Northumbria
and the Heritage Coast. Bamburgh beach, recently named the best beach
in the UK, and the Farne Islands are close by. Picturesque Warkworth
village with its restaurants, inns, small shops, river, beach and
ancient castle a mere two miles away. Boat trips to the RSPB
reserve on Coquet Island leave from Amble, three miles away. Historic
Alnwick with its spectacular garden and castle, recently made famous
by their appearance in Harry Potter films, are five miles away and
the bus to Alnwick passes the entrance to the grounds.
