C. fasciatum is very nervous and can be very skittish, even aggressive. C. fasciatum will adopt an artificial burrow, but if given deep enough substrate will dig its own burrow and web heavilly. I feed mine 2 or 3 medium crickets, twice a week. spiderlings are small, but grow quickly if well fed, A shallow water dish can be supplied but is not essential as fluid requirments are met by the high humidity. I have successfully bred this species once, I Eggsac production was very quick, just 20 days after mating, the sac is spherical and carried, held by and rarely left by the female, when I removed the eggsac from the female some of the eggs were destroyed by mites, total spiderling count was 184.
