P. murinus is an aggressive little beast, so is not recommended for beginners. This tarantula is mainly terrestrial, and will usually burrow if given deep enough substrate, but will sometimes show arboreal tendencies. A shallow water dish should be provided. This is quite a small tarantula, with a big attitude. It will feed well and grow fast. I have successfully bred this species, the average offspring per eggsac is around 150 spiderlings, P. murinus can produce one, two or three eggsacs from one mating.
