| FINANCE COMMITTEE | |
| This is perhaps the most important of all committees, since it is the business of this committee to act as controller of the borough's finances. It has the same standing as the Treasury has amongst the government departments. It is responsible for taking necessary steps to enable the borough to levy the rates. This Committee has to prepare for the Council each year a budget of estimated receipts and expenditure for the following twelve months. | |
