SEWAGE COMMITTEE
The Sewage Committee, while it does not control the sewers, is responsible for the treatment of all sewage conveyed and it may be interesting to point out that preparations have to be made to treat no less than six times the dry weather flow. The sewers and the sewage works are constructed so as to allow this quantity of sewage to reach the works for treatment but any excess of that quantity may go to the river untreated.
