Obituary Report
As Reported In The Lowestoft Journal. 15th October 1948.

There was a big congregation at the funeral on Wednesday week of Mr. James Harris Ayers, of 306 London Road South, who's death in his 101 St. year was reported last week. The internment in Kirkley Cemetery was proceeded by a service at St. Johns Church, Conducted by the Rev. F. Williams, Assisted by the
Rev. R. L. Lee. Mr. Meredith was the organist. The principle mourners were: Miss Millie Ayers,
Miss Edie Ayers, Mrs. F. Lock, Mr. H. R. Ayers, Mrs. C. Jarvis, Mr. R. J. Ayers, Mr. Russell Ayers,
Miss. Bella Ribbands. Floral tributes were from: Daughters Millie and Edie, Daughter Florrie, Peter and Daphne, Son Herbert and Ris, Grand children Reggie and Kate, Sister Charlotte and Family, Sister in Law May we and all at Saint Seldom, Miss Bella Ribbands (Norwich), Mrs. Kate Stone and Jack (Norwich), Stanley and Rose ( Oulton Broad ), Doctor and Mrs. Nicole and Family, Mrs. and Mrs. Andrews,
Mr. S. Gibbs and Family, Mrs. H. E. Freeman and Sissy, Mrs. C. E. Emason, Mrs. A. M. Denby,
Clara (Norwich), Grand Daughters in Norwich, The Vicar, Wardens and Parochial Church Council of Saint Johns. Winnie. N and E Norman, A. and E. Flower, Mrs. Bell, Dora and Harold, Joyce and John Bond, Agnes Mary and Maude, Bessie Frank and Family. Mr. and Mrs. Harding, all at 305, Mr. and Mrs. Soanes, Mrs. E. Rivett, Ernest and Harold (Canada), and Mrs. Barmby, Funeral arrangements were by R. Rivett South Lowestoft. The Family of the late Mr. J. H. Ayers thank all friends for kind expressions of sympathy in Their bereavement and for the many beautiful Floral tributes. Will they please accept this as the only acknowledgement.
