    Comments: Wow! Great site. I wish I found it sooner. I was at Wandsworth from 1972 to 77. I started off in 1nu - my class teacher was Mr Thorn and finished in Sam Levy's class (can't remember its name) doing my O levels. I left at the end of 5th form when I moved from Southfields to North London. I was in the school choir and I have some great memories of the choir performing at the Proms amongst other places. I didn't realise until I read it here that Russell Burgess had died so young. I also rowed for the school in the Head of River races on the Thames. Some of my memories are; Mr Bachus in his black cape. Mr Lince "editing" my German essay after I included some rude German words I learnt. Being taught the piano by Cynthia Phillimore. Conversational French taken sitting on the grass outside in the summer with Annie Ytournel - the prettiest French teaching assistant 15 year old boys could lust after :-) Nice to see some of the names on the list whom I recall fondly such as Matthew Tin

    Comments: I don't know what prompted me to type "Wandsworth School" into Google some time ago, but it was a very happy surprise to discover the Old Wandsworthians website. I especially enjoyed reading the letters from my old friends, Brian Tyson and Mike Kelly and others. A flood of happy memories of long ago suddenly came back. It feels as though a part of my life that had drifted away has now been recreated. I attended Wandsworth School from 1946 until 1954. I still remember that sunny day in 1946, probably in July or August, when, at 11 years of age, my mother took me on the train from East Putney to Southfields and I first saw that impressive building on the high ground of the 7-acre site, with the long driveway and the two green playing fields on either side. It is difficult to know where to start, but perhaps I should begin by saying that I owe much to the school, to the masters and to the other pupils. During my time at Wandsworth I grew up from boyhood to (young) manhood, and

    Comments: Thanks for the memorys. I was at Wandsworth from 69-73 in Iota and a keen member of the fencing club. I remember some people after visiting your site. One in particular Deepack Singh who was my friend when we were young. Last I remember he was going to study law at York. Does anyone remember the R. E teacher I think he was a Mr. King who used to shout out something like Luke 2/23 and we would have to race to look it up and shout out the first three words while he pretended to smoke the chalk.
