This is a course for anyone who likes to talk about theatre and to learn of possibly forgotten plays. We discuss plays we have recently seen and at each session a different playwright’s work is examined and a specific work is read from and then taken home to finish reading.

We read a complete play each session which leaves no time for formal criticism, but over our ‘interval’ tea we can usually manage an impromptu discussion on the play’s merits. Works chosen range from Molière comedies to modern dramas, and each person present takes part in the reading.
