How it started

The begining

By Ian Brazier

Over the years of carrying out our research, we have often come across other Brazier researchers world-wide, with whom we have swapped genealogical material and copies of family trees. This was done in the slim hope of finding a connection between the branches of our respective family trees.

Sometimes during visits to the Archives we came across information not directly linked to our own lineage, however we still recorded the details and noted the source of information.

The Database

gradually builds up
This "Wealth of Knowledge"

was then indexed and so began the Brazier Database. My father and I then decided to record every mention of the Brazier Surname that we can find, mainly specialising on the UK.

Then

We enter all of this information into our database, which we then use to help fellow Brazier correspondents. Every letter or E-mail we receive, has been compared against the database and any matches reported back to the correspondents concerned.

As time passes, the amount of records steadily grows, presently it is a very useful size indeed.

Copyright

Due to various Copyright restrictions

and the Data Protection Act we cannot have all of this information online, for you to use. We are however, allowed to do looks ups for researchers free of charge.

With this "methodology"

we have managed

to link up many correspondents and their family trees over the years, perhaps we can do the same for you. Our aim is to link ALL the various Brazier lines into one Giant Family Tree. So if you wish to take advantage of our kind offer, ( ian.on.line@ntlworld.com ) and feel free to send us a brief out line of your family tree, we'll see what we can find and reply back asap.
