David Kamsler started the Link in 1994. The concept of 'The Link' Service is 'dont Throw It Away' the idea has been endorsed by the Department of The Environment and 10, Downing Street. DETR have circulated details of the service nation-wide and enquiries have been received from far and wide. The idea is to link companies with voluntary organisations who might be able to use make use of items they do not want i.e. Stationery, furniture, office equipment. David Kamsler, who is the volunteer co-ordinator, runs the organisation. The Link has received donations from the following:
